The Medik8 Expert Facial is a professional, tailored treatment designed around your individual skin needs.
As every client’s skin is different, your therapist will always carry out a consultation before treatment to make sure the facial is suitable for you on the day.
In some cases, your treatment may need to be adapted or postponed to protect your skin and ensure the best possible result.
Please let us know before your appointment if any of the following apply:
You are pregnant or breastfeeding.
You are currently taking, or have recently taken, Roaccutane/isotretinoin or other strong acne medication.
You have active cold sores, skin infections, open cuts, broken skin, sunburn, or severe irritation.
You are experiencing an eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, or rosacea flare-up.
You have had recent facial waxing, threading, laser treatment, microneedling, chemical peels, injectables, fillers, Botox, or facial surgery.
You are using strong active skincare at home, such as retinol, retinal, prescription vitamin A, AHAs, BHAs, benzoyl peroxide, or exfoliating treatments.
You have a known allergy or sensitivity to skincare ingredients, acids, enzymes, vitamin A, fragrance, masks, or SPF products.
You have any undiagnosed rash, swelling, lump, lesion, bruising, or skin change in the treatment area.
You are under medical supervision for a skin condition, immune condition, or are taking medication that may affect your skin’s healing or sensitivity.
Having one of the above does not always mean you cannot have a facial. It may simply mean we need to adjust the products used, avoid certain active ingredients, or recommend waiting until your skin is ready.
Your comfort and safety are our priority, and we will always advise honestly on the most suitable treatment for your skin.

Rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach, your therapist will begin by assessing your skin and discussing any concerns you would like to target, such as dryness, dullness, redness, uneven skin tone, congestion, texture, or signs of ageing.
Your treatment may include a combination of professional cleansing, exfoliation, targeted active ingredients, specialist Medik8 massage techniques, a treatment mask, hydrating serums, moisturiser, and SPF protection.
The products and techniques used will be carefully selected on the day to suit your skin type, concerns, and sensitivity levels. This allows the treatment to focus on exactly what your skin needs, whether that is hydration, clarity, calming, brightening, smoothing, or overall skin health.
The facial is designed to feel relaxing and luxurious while still delivering visible results. After treatment, your skin should feel refreshed, nourished, and healthier-looking, with no expected downtime.
